Granny's gone and done it again

Before dinner dishes done.. Ate dinner which Robert mostly made and got my shower. after dinner dishes can wait.
I'm still full from lunch! Those ribs were tasty! I made potato salad, baked beans and fresh bread. We had watermelon for desert. It's still 93 degrees here so I'm waiting a while to go out to do chores. Enjoy the Naked people show tonight.

That sounds like a decent dinner!
Ya, you don't need heat stroke. Pretty nasty here today too. Tons of thunder but nothing came from it.
Thanks!

Evening folks. R&R day here today. I think we deserved it. But even with R&R I had to dust mop the floor, bake a loaf of bread and do a couple loads of laundry. My mother used to say that the Good Lord cured a leper on the Sabbath so hopefully he won't get too mad if she did canning on Sunday. But I crashed in the afternoon when DH laid down for a bit and cat napped while watching old Star Trek episodes. DH is still doing great. His appetite isn't back yet. Nothing tastes good to him except PB&J sandwiches at the moment, hence why I baked a loaf of bread in the bread machine. I made chicken wings, baked potatoes and carrots for dinner. Everything tasted good to me but he picked at it. But the warm bread with butter on it went down really smooth. He loves vegetable soup so I think I'll make him some tomorrow.

Very hot this afternoon. 94 last time I looked. It's supposed to rain Wednesday and then we are looking at temps in the 70s. I can live with that.

Wow, @microchick amazing you got so much done! DH's appetite will return, you'll see. He is not hurting from the surgery? You guys dodged a bullet. Don't know if I reacted to the loss of your beautiful Johnny Cash cat, he was a beauty (did I get the name right?). The timing sucks, in the middle of everything you two have going on, I'm so sorry. :hugs I do love a black cat, so elegant and mysterious they are. I prepare my bread in my Kitchen Aid mixer. It does the mixing and kneading for me, I let it rise then shape it and pan it, let it rise again and bake it in the oven. So easy. So yummy!

Looks like my littles are part of the fambly now! :love See them here at snack time.

Cash (johnny cash the cat in black) was a character. about 6 years ago he was going in to the bathroom and peeing where ever he wanted to. We took him to the vet fearing he had a bladder infection and the vet checked him. No, no infection. He asked us if anything had happened that would tick him off at us. Only thing we could think of was nothing, except he had been pestering us to go outside but we wouldn't let him because of the number of foxes we had been seeing in the neighborhood. The vet just chuckled and said, I'd let him out if I were you and take the chance or keep a mop and bucket handy. We did and the peeing stopped. You could never underestimate him or what he would do.

DH is having very little pain. He's using my cold generator pump from my shoulder surgery on his punctures and taking the occasional pain pill but I think he was just so sick that his body was glad to get rid of the darned thing. I had mine out when I was 36 along with my appendix and I was one sick puppy for months afterwards and could eat very little. For sure the appetite will come back. I'm going to make a pot of veggy soup for him tomorrow. He loves that and it should be easy for him to digest. I figure if he wants PB&Js until he's feeling stronger then hey, he's getting PB&Js!

Your babies aren't babies anymore! Sure are purty.

Cat! Can't control them, can't rip their stubborn heads off, lol. Def have minds of their own and strong opinions!

Yup, whatever works! Mmm, there are wonderful Olive Garden minestrone soup clone recipes on line. I substitute diced potatoes in mine for the pasta as Melissa does better without the gluten, but it's still really good. Too hot for soup right now but it's often in our fall and winter rotation.

Thank you! They are still very small. And there are so MANY of them!
