I'm multi tasking. Making Veggie soup, then make the bed, then organize medicines for the next week, then get dressed and head out to let the chickens out.

Our daughter is going home tomorrow, I sure will miss her. She is an RN charge nurse at a rehab facility in Knoxville, Tn. She worries about us and thinks we don't know how to take care of ourselves. Typical oldest daughter attitude! I have to remind her she is not the only one with a nursing degree and I'm always going to be the Mama!

Our daughter is going home tomorrow, I sure will miss her. She is an RN charge nurse at a rehab facility in Knoxville, Tn. She worries about us and thinks we don't know how to take care of ourselves.

Nah, she thinks you do way too much at your age and for being on oxygen and in that heat! Honestly, I agree with her! It's amazing how much you and Larry accomplish when you should be sitting in rocking chairs on the front porch watching the gass grow and paying some 7th grader to cut it for you! But that is never going to happen, is it? You two like to stay busy. Well, try to pace yourselves and don't overdo and make yourselves sick. My DH has not gone out to mow in the last week bc of this horrible heat, except for maybe a half hour here and there. It should cool off next week.

We do pace ourselves most of the time. We go out early in the morning while it is relatively cool and are back inside by 10:30. We don't go back out until after 5 to check coops. We have never had family living close enough to come help when we needed it, so we have learned to do it ourselves. It's been to hot to sit on the porch! I'm thankful for AC.
