Surgery will be Monday Aug. 4th @8am but they want me there at 6am and its 2 hr ride to get there

We will be praying for you and the doctors. Do you have your plans for Tom and Robert finished?

Well this day was a waste. Had an appointment with my ortho surgeon at 10 so got up got rolling, let the birds out, went to start the car and....nothing. It's done this before. Something with a battery cable but with DH steadily recovering from his surgery and my right biceps being cranky I came in, called the doc, moved the appointment to Thursday, then called PT and moved that appointment, then called HyVee because I'd put in a grocery order and was to pick it up after the doctor's appointment. Took them over an hour to figure out if they could deliver it, then how to modify the order for delivery. Lordy Lordy Lordy.

But the guy from instacart showed up when he said he would and was polite and friendly so that bit of drama was over and done with. Now to get the van started. We keep talking about getting a different vehicle. Both of us want a truck but every time we get close, we look at the van and talk ourselves out of it.

Good news is that DH is doing fantastic. He's bruising out in some delightful colors but less pain, less bloating and just 5 days post op! Just freaking amazing.

Off to make dinner 95 degrees here today. The poor AC can't keep up with the heat and fans are trying their best to move the air around. Rain tomorrow and then cooler. We can hardly wait.

@Granny Hatchet, the 4th? Wow! Not even time to get nervous! You are going to do great, wake up and other than being sore your leg will feel great. We will be praying for you.
