Granny's gone and done it again

I have the (sorta) paper safe smokes. They are supposed to go out when you stop puffing. Sometimes it doesn't work very good but it did last night.
The predominant method that cigarette companies use to produce Fire Standard Compliant Cigarettes is to wrap cigarettes with two or three thin bands of paper that is less porous than the outer paper tube. These bands act as 'speed bumps' slowing down the burning of the cigarette, thus causing it to self-extinguish
That’s great. I had no idea they came up with that. I think vaping would be a lot safer for you.

Well, got the word today. DH has a 3X1.5 Abscess drained on Tuesday morning. Hi ho hi ho it's back to Liberty we go. Luckily they are doing it as an outpatient so we will be home Tuesday afternoon late. They are calling for rain that day but at least it will be cooler to drive.

@Granny Hatchet. One of those times where you need to listen to your body. If it tells you to get prone and rest, that is what you should do.

Neighbors just left. One of our Alberta peach trees was full of fruit that I don't have the time or energy to deal with so I called them up and told them to send their work crew down. Must have been about 6 kids but they picked 3 bushels of fruit and will be back for more when the heirlooms ripen. I'm just glad that somebody besides the deer are going to get to enjoy them.

Oh and yesterday was DH's 70th birthday.
Happy belated birthday Mr. Blue.

Was this in reference to something particular?
Sorry to hear about your DH. I hope everything goes smoothly.

I'll be praying for travel mercies and a full recovery for DH. I hope the peach pickers gave you some to enjoy.
