Granny's gone and done it again

This is a youtube thing I use to relax.
Beautiful! Thank you for posting that.
yes he is.
I only took care of one person who was on only Lantus. Most were on R and N insulin with a small percentage taking Lantus, usually at bedtime because their blood sugars were spiking in the mornings. Amazing on how well it works using it that way.

Yikes, Roberts in denial I think. He just killed his first living creature.A mercy killing. Bandit got a rabbit then passed it off to Fawn who had it in her mouth but looking around like Now what? I called Robert who made the dogs come in then checked the rabbit who was alive but in bad shape. Then he got his 22 and went back out and fired 2 shots. The rabbit was unmoving so he got the grabbers and got rid of it but told me he hit Under the rabbit. Either way, the job was done. :(🐇

He seems to always have a normal fasting

Reminds me of Larry the cable guy. He said that one time his sister called him and told him her horse had broken it's leg and she wanted him to come over and shoot it. So he said he did and now it's suffering from a broken leg AND a gunshot wound.

That's a though initiation to life and death isn't it? I remember the first time I had to put one of my Marek's roosters down. Not my best shot and I finally had to call DH to help me. I was crying so hard I couldn't aim any more.

Kudos to him though. It was tough but he saw it through. That is the mark of a good man. Had our dogs done the initial capture there wouldn't have been any 'crunchy munchies' left for us to confiscate. They know from experience to eat fast because mom or dad is going to claim their prize. Nothing worse than cleaning up dog barf and seeing a baby rabbit head roll out......

Does his doctor know he is running that high during the day? The fact that he is running normal in the morning tells me that the Lantus is doing it's job. But if he is running that high during the afternoon he might need some sort of insulin to keep it down better. The Lantus is wearing off during the day.

Shabbat Shalom, @BigBlueHen53 To you and your family.
Thank you! It was very nice. We had Communion today. We normally celebrate the Lord's Supper about once a quarter.

7.9!!! This has and continues to be a long hard fight for him. He started at 12.?
Granny that's great! Good for him!

the egg yolk is cooked in the sugar and hot cream/milk. Just like our family's homemade ice cream..
Sounds like French Vanilla. Never heard of NY Vanilla. Will have to look into this.

NO when the churning/mixing/freeze cycle stops is between soft serve and store bought hard.
Sounds llike Baskin-Robbins texture.

This morning I decided to have coffee and tea.
The tea is a catnip flower head, if it tastes as good as it smells I’ll be drying more for later on.View attachment 4198267View attachment 4198266
Nice French press! I have catnip I can't get rid of. Will have to try this, thanks! You did not brew the catnip in the French press, did you? Just poured hot water over it and let it steep?

I switch Brew between Dog Chow flavors cold turkey BUT! He never has any issues. It can take up to 12 weeks for some dogs to fully adjust to new foods. Probably less within the same brand but still. Some dogs you have to go VERY slow. Also any people food or treats could cause it too. Also lately I’ve been sticking to just Beef the last few bags and haven’t switched him to Lamb for a while. LOL he doesn’t really like Chicken although I did buy the 4.4 bag a couple weeks ago when I didn’t buy the big Beef bag in time and ran out of food LOL  but besides that, he’s been on exclusively Beef lately. But he loves Beef and Lamb best. I’ve also tried Little Bites (Chicken and Beef) briefly and Tender & Crunchy (Turkey and Lamb). He loved both of those. I have not tried the High Protein. I also fed the Purina One for a while but it got really expensive.
Once we saw that Gracie stopped having seizures after we got her on Taste of the Wild, we have fed that to all our dogs ever since. From a puppy she had seizures on everything. Puppy Chow, Purna One, Beneful... I don't even remember, we tried so many. And yeah, it's expensive by the bag, but ... we only feed half a cup now twice a day and they are all doing well on it. In fact Jenny's actually a lttle chubby! They get the Bison & Venison and we don't mess around with it. They're happy and healthy on it.

@Cynthia12, my heart aches for you and your little Bella. I'm just so sorry her story ends like this. They give so much and ask so little, and in the end there's so little we can do for them except ... just love them. And I know you do. ❤️

It is. I make a tincture out of it. It helps calm your nervous system.
I don't remember why I quoted this. :(

Why sad faces? He said the leg was injured to the bone.

She should know its high if she bothered to look at recent blood work
