Granny's gone and done it again

My steri-strip just came off. There is a place in the very top that looks like the start of a boil or a large pimple.
Show that to your doc tomorrow Granny. That could be the start of a staph infection and you want to nip that in the bud.

Evening everyone. We spent much of the day on the road making what we hope is the last trip to Liberty.

Doctor was thrilled with DH's progress so he proclaimed time to go and pulled the drain. When we went to leave I asked him if it hurt very much and put my hand on his back and he was in a clammy sweat. He hadn't blinked or uttered a sound, said it didn't hurt it just made him feel like he was going to barf and thankfully didn't. He has been such a trooper through this whole ordeal but now it's over for him and I need to get my part galloping through the finish line...yeah, right. Sept 5 I'll be 4 months in with two to go. Amazingly my arm didn't hurt me much today even driving so progress? Maybe. I hope.

MC, I'm so glad they pulled the drain today! I know your DH will get better faster now. Little or no pain in your arm sounds like progress to me.
Granny, you need to show that "pimple" to the doctor tomorrow for sure. You don't need a staph infection on top of everything else you have going on.
BBL I'm going to watch a movie.
I might watch a movie too lol

We love yogurt here. Switched from Dannon to Activia. Activia has a pre-biotic as well as a pro-biotic in it. Figure we need all the help we can get what with all the antibiotics we have been on.

I've dabbled making my own yogurt but neither of us are big on plain yogurt unless I make fruit smoothies out of it.

You guys are all leaving me to go watch movies?!? Fine net buddies you all are! Humph.

Chick, you an your DH are BOTH a couple of troopers! Y'all have been amazing through all this. And, I might add, an inspiration to me. I'm doing steps (stairs) now and having not much pain, getting stronger every day. I often find myself walking around the house without a cane!

Just keep giving it everyday. Does he like it?
Whom is the yogurt for? I missed something ...

Chick, my DH loves it plain. Me, not so much. I used to put a tablespoon of real maple syrup on top of mine (I made it in half-pint jarelly jars) when I was ready to eat it. I guess I could do sugar-free syrup now. You could add a dollop of your favorite jam or jelly instead. My hens are going into molt so I may make a batch now that my second fridge is not full of eggs! :wee

Most evenings I have a cup or two of tea.
This time it’s Goldenrod flower, Catnip leaf and two Rosehip berries.
