Toms in bed for the night. I need to start back on my paperwork but probably wont today. Sleeping late did one thing for me. I have been wanting to go back to bed all day! I'm so very tired. I don't think the antibiotics are doing their job. Either that or there was more infection than we thought.

Dr.called and said my blood work was ok but they needed Tom to come back in for a re-draw. I think they just didn't get enough blood first go around.

Did you need to have pain on both ends of your body so you balance? At least the toe is a nice color and when it starts to heal it will be a pretty shade of green! I never thought about putting cinnamon in peach jam, but I bet it would be good.

Since it's the middle toe on my left foot and my right shoulder, I'd say I'm probably playing a little game of Tic Tac Toe...er Doe. My shoulder was so bruised under my arm and down my ribs and stayed bruised for so long that I thought it never was going to fade out. Think it lasted over a month.

The cinnamon is just a hint, kind of an 'aftertaste' under the sweetness. I liked it. DH didn't.

Time to go back out and check on the coop that our pet Bielefelder rooster just got put into with the pullets from his age group and two other Bielefelder rooster are in. It's been several months since he has been with any other chicken. I was really confused until one of the pullets started to fight him and then his rooster instincts took over and he put her in her place. Then one of the other roosters wanted a piece of him and feathers flew. Hope they have settled down. It's a 12x12 1/2 coop so they can get away from each other by flying up onto the roosting bars if needed. Time to turn them out for recess. He will not know where to roost tonight so he will have to stay in the coop while the others free range.

Next anticipated batch of chicks are 55 Flowery hens. Auto sexing with Jumbo white eggs. Medium sized birds with a reasonable feed consumption. My mind has been in overdrive lately with a plan to work on a new breed that will lay a rainbow of eggs with green, blue, pink, and some tans. Large eggs. Auto sexing too.

Do they have accents that are difficult to understand

I just ate a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream while dishing up some for DH. Just enough to satisfy my hankering for ice cream.

Okay, guys, what cha think? Broken or not?

Yeah, I know, they are crooked, the toes that is. Metatarsus adductus is what the podiatrist called it. Guess it's just the way the Good Lord put me together, anyway. Yeah, it's gettng progressively darker and is black and blue on the bottom also. It's getting a bit 'irksome' to walk on but not too bad. I can at least walk and luckily it's the middle one so it isn't getting total body weight on it. I'm sitting here with an ice bag on it. Heard something snap when I stubbed it. Sigh...just what I needed.
