Yay! Granny's back! And still giving me the Peedoodles, girl! Don't ever stop. I was so glad when we got the report from Nancy. I was about to post...ummmmm..where's Granny? when I got on the thread and hadn't seen word one from you. Only I was a little afraid to ask. It was like, who is sick and in the ER? Hubby? Granny? It was one of those flip a coin thoughts and then saw that your computer had gone belly up and was like whew, that's a relief.
But...your incision is still draining? Not cool. Warm moist packs a few times a day and give the doc a jingle. When they took out DH's drain, it was still draining a bit of pink liquid and he said that was just what he was hoping for and pulled it.
If the drainage is gray or yellowish that mean's you may need more antibiotics or a different one.
So glad that you are back.
@BigBlueHen53 Yeah, I know, but in my defense, if I didn't have that perky little white cap and college pin that I worked my little behind off for I wouldn't know that having as much pain as I was having was a red flag. But yeah, I do know when to say, 'yes sir' to the doctor and be the good-well, tolerable, patient so I'm doing the week without PT or exercising. But I'm concerned that when I start up the repetitious weight bearing exercises again it's just going to come back. In fact I would bet money on it so I'm going to call the surgeons office and ask them to fax over to my physical therapist what I am allowed to do when I go back there late next week and why. I sure don't want to go back to PT and cause this to have the next words I hear from the doctor's mouth be 'maybe we should aspirate that fluid in your shoulder and see what's cooking in that joint'.

If that happens I'd probably be tapping into my Cherokee genes and go on the warpath, lol. Lose my 'tolerable' patient good conduct ribbon......
