Granny's gone and done it again

With the coyote population we have here our dogs are always howling....usually in the middle of the night when you are trying to sleep.

@BigBlueHen53 do you have one of those pick up stick grabbers? I have a couple of them. Just got one that is extra long so I can snare things on the top shelf of the cupboards and get them down hopefully without breaking or dropping anything. Don't use them on glass but they save me getting up on a step stool to grab a plastic pitcher and I use them a lot to pick up things off the floor so I don't have to bend over and irritate my hips or back.

We got out and took a walk today without the dogs tagging along. The weather is so beautiful today and we just enjoyed walking our trails. Saw two deer which is always a plus. It was a breath of 'normal' amid a summer that was anything but for us.

Our Buck has two huge lipomas on his right side. They have been there since he was about 4. These are flat and cover most of his rib cage. Our vet checks them every time we go in and told us to get in touch with them should they ever change. So far they haven't. His sissy has one on her neck and neither dog seems to be disturbed by them. Buck runs like an antelope and Spot is the Energizer Bunny dog in spite of having bad arthritis in her hips. They are from the same litter we think. Siblings with a common mother and different fathers. They showed up at our gate when they were just barely 8 weeks old. Covered with cow crap and mud and have been our two dearest fur babies for 12 years now.

I had a miniature Schnauzer who had hair loss. He also had a big sebaceous cyst on his rump that opened on its own. Nasty thing. Sometime I think some dogs are just prone to such things.

Beautiful day here. 79 degrees and dry. We need rain.

Speaking of house cleaners. My husband once said he'd hire a housekeeper for me. Amish girls are always looking for that kind of work but he knows me. I'd just clean the house before she showed up....to clean the house.
Cooper, our mini Shnauzer that just went in, gets the cysts. The first one was big, had the vet take care of it. Put to sleep, shaved and removed. The second one was smaller so I punctured it and squeezed. Didn't come back. I just found one on his leg, took care of it.

For me, it's my knees. I can't bend them without risking falling on the spot, and even if I don't fall, experiencing debilitating pain for days afterward. And I KNOW I don't want to fall! I don't feel dizzy, I just feel ... unbalanced. Knees so weak. Neither one can hold me up any more. :barnie
Yes, another reason I'm not mopping floors. I used to get on my hands and knees to do it. I just got my shots in it a few days back. Working well so far. I'm hoping these shots work until I..go. I am bone on bone on a small area but shots are working.
I go in tomorrow morning for my Echocardiogram.
