It's not the end of the world, most of them I take morning and night anyway, but there are one or two that i am supposed to take in the morning. I don't suppose i'll die, lol.

@BigBlueHen53 It doesn't sound promising but where there's a will........
  • Part-time or intermittent home health aide care (only if you’re also getting
    skilled nursing care
, physical therapy, speech-language pathology services, or occupational therapy at the same time), like:
    • Help with walking
    • Bathing or grooming
    • Changing bed linens
    • Feeding

Aw, sad. Did not know Marek's could settle in the crop. I sctually don't know much about Marek's at all, I need to study up on it.

Sounds awful! After going through the surgery, recovery and PT only to now be dealing with bursitis on top of all that. Sorry to hear. Hope it resolves quickly. :hugs

Our little rural towns really are a blessing that way, aren't they?

Back injury? Do you know what happened to her? Do you have her caged or isolated?

🤷🏽‍♀️ who knows what goes on in a reptilian brain. Sounds like something a young squirrel would do, lol. That way. No, that way! No, wait!
Yeah, it can settle in the crop or maybe more easily explained is that it can cause crop problems. Impactions and the like. It's more like, what 'can't' Marek's cause because the list is just so blasted long.

Shoulder suxs. When I use it like while we are working on wood, if I pick up a 30 pound round to split, my shoulder is riding up so it looks like I'm shrugging. They keep telling me that will go away with strengthening but in the same breath they tell me I have good muscle strength in my arm. Frustrating? You bet, plus it causes the muscles in my neck between my neck and shoulder and into my shoulder blade to spasm. Today I didn't take a muscle relaxer since I knew I would be driving and didn't want to drive under the influence of a muscle relaxer and pain pills. The muscle relaxer really helps too.

I think I would just go bat crap crazy if I had to live in a 'city' again. Kirksville makes me crazier than I am just by having to go up there for doctors appointments and PT. Our little town has 1300 people in it and sometimes I think they include the dogs and cats in that total. When I turn off of the black top and hit gravel roads I have to smile in spite of the dust that we have to contend with.

I'm not too sure what happened with the hen. Either she got piled on by the hens competing for treats I was handing out or she got piled on by a couple of roosters. None of the roosters in that pen are really big --most are bantams or bantam crosses but she showed up late last week staggering more than walking. I have her in my feed room in my sick pen/brooder pen on a bed of soft grass hay. She is moving around to get food and water but I'm keeping it down where she can reach it. I'm also giving her B12 in a boiled egg every other day. Tonight I had to clean up her butt a bit and checked her over. She's losing weight and when I set her down on the floor to see if she was gaining any ground, she just staggered, her feet went straight out behind her and she hit her poor little beak on the floor. Not a good sign. I'm willing to give her more time but I'm starting to feel a bit gloomy about her recovery.
