Granny's gone and done it again

Just got back from our HAM club picnic. Had a great time. Lots of delicious food for the pot luck. I made a sour cream choco cake. First one I've made in 5 years or more. All I had on hand was robust extra dark cocoa so I used it and held my breath. Luckily it turned out delicious. Got home and closed up the coop in the dark. Little Peanut hen is still flipping herself on her back. Can't seem to keep her upright and she is really a poopy mess. I poopy mess that I will have to deal with in the morning. I don't see a way out for her. I can't keep her in the sling and every time I got out to the coop she is flipped on her back and losing weight even though she is eating hard boiled egg like there is not tomorrow. She seems happier out in the coop but her right leg is straight behind her and her left leg has only a small amount of movement to it. Marek's? Probably even though she is at least 5 years old, unless she is the younger of the 2 identicals and then she is 2 which sounds more logical if it is neurological Marek's. To tired to even think right now and I still need to do my stretches before I can go to bed. Night guys.

Granny. I'm praying for you and Tom.

Oh, @microchick, I hate that your little Peanut is having such a hard time. :hugs
But it sounds like your HAM potluck went great! I'm trying to imagine a sour cream choc cake ... must be rich. Don't tempt me, I've had my share of these awful cookies today and am chocolated out for the moment, lol. Never thought I could get so much chocolate I'd be like, please, no more! But that is where I am today.

The fritatta was excellent even though I scorched the bottom, which was a layer of thin-sliced potatoes. That was Melissa's favorite part! 🤣 I gave her mine and she lit up like a Christmas tree, lol. I'd accidentally left a burner on and when I took it out of the oven I put it back on the burner! :lau

Elijah's away for the weekend, he's headed to Illinois for a camp meeting at 3ABN, 3 Angels' Broadcasting Network. And next week he'll be going back to the academy for his Alumni Weekend. Proper little globetrotter he's getting to be, lol.

@troyer, do you have chicks? We've seen pics of your majestic roosters, what do the hens and chicks look like?
Here’s some from this year.
