Tillamook is so good!Today I desired black coffee, I don’t know why it seemed so important to me. I even had various things come up throughout the day to deviate my mind from it. In the end however, I had my coffee. The sad thing is I didn’t have my normal coffee variety that I’m used to, it’s organic, but not the organic I am used to.
My desire was a strong black coffee, one where you can use a white cup and with two inches of liquid you can’t see the bottom of the cup.
In my anticipation it almost tasted good when I sipped a bit, but alas it was barely drinkable! Now what? I’m not one to easily throw something out, especially if I was the one that made it, I mean, surely there’s a way to resurrect it from its bad flavor, yeah I drink coffee for the flavor not the caffeine.
I have some Manuka honey here so I decided to add some of that. Even two tablespoons of Manuka honey didn’t really improve on the flavor it just ruined the Manuka honey.
The next option was to add some high quality cacao powder, but after adding a heaping tablespoon of cacao powder I lost the Manuka honey flavor so I added my last ingredient and decided that if it didn’t improve anything I’ll just drink it anyway.
The last ingredient was ice cream, it was just the right thing to bring it back to an enjoyably flavored smoothie textured drink.
By the time I added the ice cream the container was too full to insert my blender (one of those you put into the jar to blend it) I don’t remember what it’s called.
I don’t have any straws in the house, but I do have long stemmed dandelions outside so I got one of those and used it to lower the content in the jar. It certainly worked, try it sometime even just for the experience.
It turned out delicious!View attachment 4224044View attachment 4224041View attachment 4224042View attachment 4224043
Russel m Nelson.He.....OMG! And 101 years old? Talk about a life well lived. God Bless him! All the lives he helped save! Can you say what his name was, Cynthia? My husband asked. He worked for a electro-medical company's engineering lab that helped design and build defibrillators and EKG machines before he became Dr. Honey. He's not close to 101, thank goodness but he is curious.
Isn't that kinda like kicking a dead horse? LOL I love your straw! I would of thought that would collapse when you tried to use it.Today I desired black coffee, I don’t know why it seemed so important to me.
