Granny's gone and done it again

My parents claim they've shrunk...dad said he used to be over 6' and now he's like 5' 8" or something. I don't even know what to say for mom other than she's plenty shorter than me (last time I checked I'm 5' 6" ish) so yeah. The back thing makes sense because I've noticed that mine's slightly arched and twisted and makes me feel like I'm shorter than I really should be LOL...
that's a big drop! Welcome to granny's Ice!

We have some on hand. I've been buying big tubs of cream cheese and eating spoonfuls too, sometimes on a bagel. I've been esting what I consider a lot trying to keep my weight the same, to stop losing. I've been the same for a couple of weeks now. Yaay!
Cream cheese is good with steak too.

My weight has shot up to 170. 😔 I felt terribly fat at 150 for a long time but I was stable. But I have not been able to do much exercise with this knee, and before that it was an ankle. I weighed 93 when I graduated hs and worked hard to get it up to 110 so I could donate blood. That's what I weighed when I got pregnant, both times. My body feels foreign to me now and I don't know how to fix it. I should sign up for swimming. I'll see if my ortho will athorize that for me Thursday.
Don't feel bad, I think the most I ever weighed was 147, danged close to 150. My labs were bad and doc told me I had two choices. One, take statins even though they gave me bad side effects or lose weight and change my eating habits. I chose the latter. He told me I had motivation to do it and I did. It's hard to lose weight and exercise when you are in pain. Yesterday, DH wanted to go for a walk as he is trying to lose more weight. I told him I'd go even though my foot is a flaming mess of pain right now. It was, 'slow down, dear....OUCH!' Every ten feet until I realized that he was behind me and he was telling ME to slow down because his knees were hurting him.

My SIL is doing water exercises and loving them. Something you might want to look into for your knee along with swimming.

@ShrekDawg. Not good to be losing height at such a young age. Talk to your doc now rather than later. You are too young to get a bone density test done but he might recommend that you start something like Critical or some other calcium supplement along with vitamin D3. Losing height means that you are losing bone, usually in your spine.

I think Microchick meant that those feelings of desperation are treatable, Granny. No. They csn't fix everything that'x wrong eigb Yom but they can help him feel better.

These are things you need to be discussing with you counselor, therapist or whatever. But they can't help you unless you are completely open and honest with thrm. :hugs
Yeah I know. And I have been with some of the team or at least told them about it but I only just now like within the last week realized the self sabotage thing and I didn’t see the therapist last week. So I haven’t had a chance to discuss it with her yet. But I plan to because obviously it’s important lol

Something to argue about. 😇

Oh wow that’s scary!!!!! Thanks!!!! I’ll get it checked. Especially cause I sometimes have pain back there lol I’m actually now not 100% sure if actually lost height though or if I just had shoes on as a kid LOL BUT!!!!! I usually always take my shoes off now so I’m pretty sure I did back then too and actually lost the height. And I have terrible posture too so that explains it some.

I've been craving steak for a while now. I'm not paying that much just for something I wont be able to eat because its too tough. After I cook it of course.
