It's starting to happen to me, too. And I choke on nothing for no reason, or just on liquids. Annoying.I'm having problems again with swallowing. Pretty scary lately trying to get food down. Time for my esophagus to get stretched again.![]()
I'm back real quick. Just after 10.Thats me, always late. Anyway, just got off the phone w/ nurse. Plans to possible send him home tomorrow. I still need to talk to a care manager or whatever they called her.I guess shes the one that helps me decide the next step or what we want. Nurse and PT or hospice. Hospice explained to me is someone that is expected to die in the next 6 months. He can continue his meds but they generally don't take him to Drs. for things like UTI ,ect..I will learn these things tomorrow. He also will need 24 hr care when he comes home meaning he cant be left alone for grocery store or whatever. I can sleep but will need a bed alarm. They did say its possible he still has UTI. Talk to someone different, get a different story I guess. Anyway, that's all I know for now.
Sweet dreams all
I’ll have to try that. I’m scared to try it with food and not liquid LOLThere is one trick for the big horse pills. It's called pudding. Put the pill in a big spoon of pudding (I prefer chocolate kills the taste of the pill) swallow the pudding and pill down in one big gulp. I used to take Potassium. Slow K. Without pudding, lol. Don't know how many times I gagged them down.
Just remember, @ShrekDawg, if they are time released potassium tablets, don't chew or break them up.
Maybe. Nurse suggested pudding or applesauce lol which I did buy both but then ate bothHow about butter then? Slick it up.
