Granny's gone and done it again

You weren't here yesterday. Are you ok?
Saturday is my church day, Granny, Sabbath. And although I'm usually back after sundown, yesterday was special. We had a social event after sundown to celebrate the 98th birthday of our oldest member, Miss Frances, who was our pianist for years and years. We got home late and I didn't get on here till around 11 and all y'all had gone to bed. ❤️

ohh I knew it was your church day but you normally come on later. 98! Wow!! That's pretty awesome.

Here, I got some pics from the Great American Egg-Monster. First, the finished product. And, Spoiler Alert: it worked! Jenny tried it almost immediately after I went in the house, I heard her give a sharp little yelp and she came in looking sheepish.

And here's the breakdown for anyone who wants to set it up for themselves:

Here's the electric fencer. You don't need one that will knock the socks off a horse or fence 100 acres. A cheap little fencer will work because a dog's nose and tongue are very sensitive!

Next, you need to connect the fencer to a ground rod, something metal that goes into, well, the ground. I just used a t-post.

And finally, the bait. This plastic "nest" is elevated off the ground on two bricks and filled with our normal nesting material, shredded paper. We soaked the ground around it to be sure the dog's feet would be well grounded as well (yeah, I'm kind of brutal - but it is a tiny fencer). We put hot wire across the bottom of the nest and over and around the eggs, and finally, we cracked an egg over all the other eggs. Wet, yummy, irresistable, right?

Apparently! I had no sooner gone in the house than I heard Jenny take the bait. Of course the chickens are locked up today and we'll take it down before letting them out. But we want to get our effort's worth so we'll leave this set up until all three dogs discover it.

Morning all, Finally some NAA reruns on. I've been feigning for some.
My body delights in picking different areas and types of pain every day. If I didn't have my pain to keep me company every day I would be so bored! LOL Not. I forget what a pain free day is like. I hope everyone is having a good day
NAA?
