Granny's gone and done it again

I got the same offer except it was free because I bought the tires there. They refused to do that today and told them to come back another day
Makes sense though, if they're busy. I call and make an appointment, sometimes a week ahead if they're covered up. Lots of times I drop the car off the night before and pick it up the following evening. Better things to do than sit in a car shop all day.

Totally wore out. Toms in bed and I need a nap.
The boys took the van for an oil change and I am upset over it. They got there at 12 and the place told them they couldn't get to it til one and they said ok. They took my van back at 1 and drained the oil then didn't get back to it for 3 more hours. They couldn't leave because they had drained the oil. They didn't have the filter and drove to an auto parts store to get one then charged them $70. for the oil change. They were also to rotate tires and check alignment and they told them to come back a different day for that. That was supposed to be free with my tire purchase. By the time they got out of there there wasn't time to grocery shop.
I can't imagine. Here I just drive up to an oil change place and sit in the car while it's all done. Oil change, fill all the fluids under the hood. Check the tire pressure, wash the windshield. Told me to come back and they would fill my wiper fluid anytime needed for free.

My flock is diminished by four today. Took the three Australorp cockerels to be processed, and we unexpectedly had to dispatch a Sapphire Gem hen that decided today was her day to die. When I fed afternoon scratch she was wandering around looking a little lost and confused, and I thought, she doesn't look so good, I better keep an eye on her. And then when DH went out to close them up he heard her flapping behind the hen house. He came and got me and we could see she was on her way out, poor thing, so we finished her. It's just amazing to me that a chicken can look perfectly hale and healthy one day and then die the next. It just baffles me.

I told them not to go there. I always took it to jiffy lube. sounds like the same kinda place

That wouldn't of got her over night.
No. I just .. don't know. I know they can be sick and hide it, until they can't hide it any longer and then it's too late. It looks sudden but it's not. She's probably been ailing for a while but not showing it.

well whatever it is I hope it doesn't spread.
So Robert just found a pretty big raw spot on Fawns tail. Wasn't there just a little bit ago. She was licking it so what could we use on it? @BigBlueHen53 or anyone that might know? H20 isn't on right now.

Thanks, me too! Everybody else looks good but I will keep an eye out.

Her licking it will make it worse, you need to get her to stop. Don't suppose you have a cone around that fits her? If you have some Vicks VapoRub you can dab that AROUND the raw area, not on it, that might keep her from licking that area.

Hmm, I'm trying to think. Could it be a fungus? Do you have any kind of anti-fungal ?
