Well Maude is up to 4 chicks. We thought we had just left her with 4 eggs. 2 eggs left in the nest and not fresh laid. Old date on one and no date on the other. If not hatched my morning they go into lock down in an incubator that has more from another incubator headed for it. I know she is not making chicks out of thin air.

Did somebody lay eggs in her nest? No telling how far along they are ... candle them maybe?

Toms in bed for the night. Most of the time he spent out here was dozing. He flat refused dinner but I was able to talk him into a bottle of ensure and a banana.

I akmost got scammed tonight. Got a call from someone claiming to be a bail bondsman (red flag #1: on a Sunday evening?). Asking $190 on a $500 bond (red flag #2: should only be $50). They want proof of income, namely photo evidence of SS deposit into my bank account (BIG RED FLAG!!! PERSONAL BANK INFO!!). They said I can co-sign for my daughter virtually by email. I almost fell for it, except half an hour later ANOTHER one called .... then my spidey-sense antenna went off and I went, NOPE!

Turns out one of the other inmates told my daughter about these "bail bondsmen," and apparently my daughter somehow gave them my phone number. She will hear from me. She should know not to EVER give my number out to anybody without asking me first. This has been a rule since she was six years old.

And don't worry, I can be a Christian and still tell them that I am reporting them and their shenanigans to the local authorities, wa-hah. And make no mistake, I will certainly do it.

He-he. I just called back the number they called me from, to make sure it is a legit phone number. I said I was just checking to make sure I can reach them at this number when I call them tomorrow. Ooh I love being sneaky.

Got a call tonight from our grandson that is getting married soon. Wish we could go to the wedding but our old bones just will not make that trip.
