Granny's gone and done it again

For me, it's not a ringing. It's more like ... a roaring. Like wind blowing. I've had it since I was about 22 and had to drive an old van for 4 days with no weather stripping in the driver's door. This was another case of a good deed being punished.

We were in Farmington, NM. About 6 or 7 kids were able to go. The Director of the Pathfinder group at La Vida Mission offered to provide a van. This was a Navajo mission. Of course we accepted with joy. Well this van turned out to be a banger held together with duct tape, baling wire, prayer and optimism. But I had already volunteered to drive ...

Remember this was the WINTER Special Olympics. I drove these kids a couple hundred miles to the mountains of Colorado with this window screaming in my ear, over Wolf Creek Pass, and back again in a blizzard that delayed our trip by a day, hoping we would even survive. I was responsible for this bus load of kids! 😳 It was a little hair-raising to put it mildly! I was the only adult! We made it home safely but I had permanent hearing loss in my left ear for my troubles.

Is it 24/7? Yours sounds more like damage from the wind. Have you seen a Dr. about it?

Yes, 24/7. I saw an audiologist 6 or 7 years ago. He didn't tell me anything. Just that I don't have wax buildup. 🙄
