Granny's gone and done it again

For 100 people, you will need approximately 17-20 pounds of green beans (or 18 cups of fresh/frozen beans) to make green bean casserole. You will also need enough other ingredients, such as canned condensed soup and fried onions, to match the amount of beans you are using.

Ingredient estimates
  • Green Beans:
You will need about 17 to 20 pounds of fresh or frozen green beans. The higher end accounts for people who might take a larger portion.

  • Condensed Soup:
A common recipe for a 9x13 pan (serves about 12) uses one 10.5 oz can of condensed soup. For 100 people, you would need roughly 8-9 cans.
    • Fried Onions:
The original recipe calls for about 2.8 oz of fried onions per 9x13 pan. You will need about 8-9 containers of fried onions
Perfect, THANK YOU!

It's a vegetarian meal, folks. The lady brainstorming it has prepared a "holiday loaf" and a lentil loaf in place of turkey or meat and I have no idea what they taste like or how they will go over. There will be lots of other food as well, including desserts, sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce ... not sure what all else, but lots of food. And green bean casserole and dinner rolls!
That’s fine! I’m meh on turkey lately anyways. :lau I’ll just stick to the desserts and the mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE. LOL
