Granny's gone and done it again

Easy peasy! Just reach your foot around behind you and KICK! That's what I do ... NOT, lol! :lau Yah, doesn't work for me, either. Here, I will push you and you can pull me!
lol thanks for the giggle. Sitting here wondering if that's even possible. You know Im gonna try it

I am back from surgery, so far, it's good. Feeling tired.
Good deal, Cap. Are you doing the drops post procedure or did they give you the subconjunctival shot? We have an eye doc friend back in IL who just had one eye done and he went with the shot just so he didn't have to bother with drops. Me? I don't mind drops nearly as much as needles near my eye, lol.

@Granny Hatchet if they are talking about cataract surgery 95% of the people who we saw post cataract surgery all said the same thing. They had all procrastinated having the surgery done and all regretted putting it off. The state of the art has progressed by leaps and bounds the past 10 years.

DH had been asking for cookies the past two days so I made Danish Butter Cookies for him and brownie mix cookies for myself. I'd never tried Danish butter cookies before and he said they turned out great. I used hand churned butter that I had picked up at the local Amish bulk store and you could smell the butter in them as they baked. Guess it's a keeper recipe.

Got a link to the recipe, MC? I'll churn my own butter. I have one of these. Good night! This site lists this thing at $175!!! I paid $40 for mine! But I got it from a relative.

Sure do Blue,

I don't have a 'cookie shooter/press or whatever you wanna call it' at the moment so I just rolled mine out and made round cookies dusted with sugar,

I think this yours is pretty much the ones the local Amish use from what I've seen for sale at the local bulk store. I'm too cheap.. If I get my hands on fresh whole milk, I skim the cream, put it in a quart canning jar with a lid clamped down, hand it to my DH and tell him to start shaking. Amazing how fast it turns to butter.

But that price you got yours for looks like a good one from what I've seen them priced at the local Amish store. I went in one day looking for a replacement for my hand crank mixer and the starting price was 28 dollars for one. One thing I've learned about Amish is that they are highly frugal but the things they can have they aren't afraid to pay premium price for them.

Me? Nah Uh. Won't pay 28 dolla for a crank style egg beater.

I enjoy making butter in mine and yeah, I know I can do it in a quart jar too. I've found one trick though is to start with room-temp cream! For me the churning is the easy part. Rinsing all the milk out is what takes so much time. I will rinse and squeeze, rinse and squeeze in a bowl or a clean white dish towel under cold water until the water runs clear because I've found the butter will go sour in a few days if I don't. But boy, it's sooo good!

Why not get a hearing aide? I love mine they are Bluetooth speakers
Tell us about them. I'm finally going to get serious about getting them. There's a place in the town next to us that accepts my insurance.
