Granny's gone and done it again

👋🏼 That's about right. I just get here and everybody's run off.
I've been busy all afternoon, but now I can't see what I accomplished! I also got the last of the Christmas card mailed and a gift finished, the chickens are all fed and watered as well as the people in the house so I guess I did do something. Time for a shower. BBL

Yes, people still curtsy, but mainly in specific ceremonial or formal contexts, especially when meeting royalty in European monarchies or Commonwealth nations, though it's often a choice of showing respect rather than a strict requirement. It's seen in ballet, historical reenactments, debutante balls, and sometimes in Lutheran churches, but outside of royal protocol, it's largely replaced by handshakes and bows in daily life.
