I talked to my favorite son and my favorite daughter - separately -yesterday. Mind I only have one of each so the choice is easy.

Blue, what are those things you wrap up in corn husks? I only had them once. Home made from a friend in Detroit but they sure were good! Have you ever made them?

Tamales. Peoole put spicy beef or chicken in them but I've also had a veg version with potatoes and cheese that were pretty good. And yes, DH#1 and I and our kids when they were smallish used to make big batches for Christmas every year, they are pretty labor-intensive. I love them but have not made them in years. Dad used to buy them off a lunch truck at work and bring them home, and oh how we would swarm him to get at them, lol! Good stuff, good times.

Tuh-MAH-leez. One is actual just a tamal, tuh-MAHL, but most people will say tamale, tuh-MAH-lee.

Melissa and I gave away most of the cookies and fudge we made yesterday. One batch went down the hill to the neighbor whose dog killed one of my chickens a year or so ago, he and his wife are now good friends. I told him I was glad his dog did that cuz otherwise we probably never would have met. The wife works at Pet Smart and grooms our dogs.

Another batch went to DH's nephew Nick and his wife and four kids. They have a boatload of dogs and told me how the Lord spared their house from burning down recently. They had gone to church and left a pan of cookies on top of the stove. Somehow, apparently, some or one of the big dogs got in the house and while pawing at the cookies managed to turn on the burner. The cookies were burnt to a crisp and the house was full of smoke when they got home! Thankfully no serious damage was done. I think that actually happened today!

I have had the WORST migraine all day. I have taken TWO rescue meds at different times today (usually one works). Neither worked. I keep hoping and PRAYING that it will stop. But it hasn’t yet!!!!!!!

Can you sleep? Mom would do that. Honestly I don't see how you can stand to look at this screen or read with a migraine!
