Had a lousy birthday. As soon as hubby woke up, drove myself to the ER. Seems I hardly get rid of one medical problem and another pops up. Now I have 2 at the same time. My phone quit working, and my boys were trying to call me.

Im sorry y'all are having a rough patch. Dr. put Robert on antibiotics and sent a refferal off to a foot Dr. in Seymour. Closest one around. They did have one here but he doesn't take Roberts insurance.
It was freezing out there today.

It was quite chilly here today too. We had our high temp about 10 this morning and it's been falling all day. Supposed to be 29 in the morning with a high in the 40's. I plan to do some baking tomorrow to keep the house warm. It's supposed to warm up into the 60's by Friday.
I'm sorry everyone seems to be having such a hard time, I'm praying for all of you.

What will you be baking, @Rambling Iris ? I made my typical 3 loaves of bread today and 2 funky-looking pizzas. It was one of those days where everything I touched seemed to be cursed, lol! I also did DH's laundry, oh WHEN will I learn not to bake bread on laundry day?

To start with I threw the yeast into the dry mixture with the sugar, salt and flour, as if it was quick-acting yeast and I was using a bread machine. Which it wasn't, and I wasn't, lol! Instead of proofing the yeast separately. So I decided to just go with it and threw all my liquid ingredients in and and let the KitchenAid do its thing. I haven't tasted the bread yet, but ... it looks okay. So maybe ...
