Making a pot of black-eyed peas for New Year's dinner. Anybody else have New Year's traditional foods? Melissa does not care for BEP, but she always eats one because it's tradition, lol. The rest of us like them.

We will have Hoppin' John, pork, collard greens and corn bread. check out this recipe https://www.southernliving.com/recipes/classic-hoppin-john-recipe I don't follow this to the letter. I just cook the peas with bacon or a ham hock, serve over rice with raw chopped onion on top.

You can cut the amount of ingredients in half so it doesn't make such a big bowl full. Also I don't use bread, just eat it with crackers or chips.
