Granny's gone and done it again

The checker at Walmart and myself were the only two people wearing masks today. It's like.....nobody's scared of getting the flu but us two?

I didn't get the shot. They never seem to work and I always wind up getting the variant that they forget to put in the mix. I took them religiously when I worked but stopped when I retired. I find that wearing a mask in public places like stores generally protects me better in the long run.

I'll be wearing a mask for a considerable time now. I can't say "the foreseeable future" because that's like, zero. But until this flu is no longer a risk anyway. And washing hands like my life depends on it!

A bit of a shocker this morning.
I was woke up this morning by a phone call from my brother.
My mom was found deceased on the floor of her apartment this morning.
She seemed healthy enough and did most things for herself, being 82 years old.
She was living with my brother, his family were caring for and helping her with anything she couldn’t do by herself.

OMG, so very sorry there Troyer, thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
