Granny's gone and done it again

I got lucky today. A neighbor showed up here . The dogs were letting me know so I went to the door and seen him out there on his machine plowed the whole driveway. I gave him $30. for gas. I think he cleared the van too.

Howdys all, @h2oratt I sometimes feel like I am one step away from becoming a Horder! I do take them to the vet when needed but its not easy on us to do that.
You don’t keep them in crates all day and the crates are not stacked up on each other

oh, no, I could never do that. I do find myself looking in the animal shelters sometimes though. On line, I don't go there.

I think having a lot of animals, and being a hoarder are very different! People can have a lot of animals, and with the right care do just fine!
and 3 dogs and 2 cats here that is a lot for me. LOL

We have a sign on our shop door that says "Strays Welcome". I think people take us literally.

We are up to 10 degrees here. Sunshine but that wind is COLD! At least between the radiant heating on the metal siding on the coop and the heat lamps mounted on the ceiling the water is staying thawed.

@BigBlueHen53....you get your chickens to go out in the snow? Oh man. Yesterday one of my egg eating hens did a bust out. Took one step in the snow, screamed bloody murder and headed straight on the wing for the nearby roost bar in the run. I had to catch her and carry her back inside. And the bantams are the worse. Early on I launched them outside through the pop door. They saw the snow and flew big circles back to the pop door. Uh Uh, no way not touching that stuff, it's evil it will kill me if I touch it. If the snow is melting they will go out and stay on the dirt areas but not the snow.

As much as the Fayoumis are hot weather birds, they will walk in shallow snow before the others will. Little feathered prima donnas.
