Granny's gone and done it again

Yep my hubby is a keeper 🩵 He does so much for our family! He would be very upset if I shoveled something! I fell the other day hiking and our 16 year old and I just laughed it off no big deal, but he was really sad about it, and said I don't like my wife falling it makes me so sad! It was super sweet.
I won't allow DH to shovel snow. He has osteoporosis, bone on bone arthritic knee, hip replacement and just went in remission for cancer. He is a hospital stay waiting to happen if he slips on snow.

Of course he can't! In my house, I'm the hospital case waiting to happen, can't afford to slip and fall and possibly break a hip. Your DH is so blessed to have you to care for him! :hugs

My LEFT knee just made a loud CRACK as I was aboout to sit down and now I can't put weight on it or lift it. Oh, maaan!
Ouch! It must be so frustrating. So many things depend on you being able to walk. Is yours bone on bone as well?
He doesn't want to discuss a knee transplant until the Dr says the shots are too close together.

I was digging deep in my saved papers today. I'm still not finished with Medicaid five year look back period. In 2022 I got an estate check from my Aunt. I decided to put it towards our ford Ranger. I had Ford credit for a loan and back then, if I put a certain amount towards my payment, they lowered my monthly payment. So I decided if I split the check into two payments (it had to be the same month for Medicaid pay down), they will lower my monthly payment the first payment and the second payment will be enough to close the account. I did all that work, cashed my check at the bank it was written from, and now I have to get the paperwork together for verification. Luckily I still had the letter from Ford showing my pay off.

I do so many things like that too save money and now it makes allot extra work for me to assemble my documents. Sometimes I almost can't remember what I did in some instances. When it bothers me too much to sleep I pray... And somehow my puzzle that I created the last five years is coming together

Oh no I totally get that!! I wouldn't want hubby doing anything like that if he was hurt/sick!!

I did this very thing on Saturday night. Now, both knees. I go see my knee dr tomorrow..for my shoulders questions on steroids for my Occipital Neuralgia. Will mention to him that I'll be seeing him for a shot in my right knee in 2 days after. I'll mention my left knee. :( May want x rays now. Hope i can get a shot in my left knee too now.

Someone mentioned that shots for my Occipital Neuralgia was only a short term fix and that it is only masking the pain. True, but, so does Tylenol and Ibuprofen and any other pain medication. Helps for a while. But when that headache comes back, folks go back for the pain meds. The shots last longer. I would be downing a bottle of pain meds in a week's time and then they probably wouldn't help. Im praying these shots help my knees. I've been told by surgeons to keep getting the shots as long as I can. Better than surgery. :)
