Granny's gone and done it again

Pa and I have spent the past hour securing the roof on one of the coops. It is a hoop coop with a 2 layer tarp roof. 20 plus MPH wind gusts loosened one corner and it was acting like a sail. We are half frozen! temp is 27 with a feels like of 13. I have to go make a cup of hot tea and try to thaw out. BBL

Maybe a bath or shower would warm you up. Or soak your feet in warm water.

But if you have livestock, you have to brave the weather. And someone needs to plow/ shovel. Power may go out. Flights are grounded. But yeah, it is pretty!
Yup, I try very hard now a days to let things slide off my back. Worry about might be is the biggest one.

Cozy cold weather view.

I stood on the floor vent for the heater for a few minutes and have had a cup of tea. I'll shower before I go to bed. Eating a good warm meal now. I worked up an appetite!

Snowing here. What's for supper?

Looks like home except for the back drop. I have a hand made punched tin panel behind my stove. Guy that built the house didn't make the floor joists strong enough to support any unnecessary weight. I'd love to put the rock face up of if nothing else something like z brick.

It didn't get as warm as they said it was today. Swear it's a full moon as the dogs are driving us nuts. Buck and Spot are being less than cordial with Pi, 'she touched me, she touched me, don't look at me' sort of attitude and Pi is like, 'Hi Buck, kiss you, Hi Spot, kiss you' while running around them, looking at them naturally. Meanwhile the cattle dogs are being cattle dogs and squabbling after a dog biscuit that Diesel has horded and the cats are hissing and slapping the dogs.

Told DH that now I understand what having a lot of kids must be like.:barnie

I did get the rice pudding made. It was delicious!
