Granny's gone and done it again

My day kinda sucked.
Messed up my computer took hrs. but (and I don't know how) I fixed it. Went to KY then Arbys. I ordered the new Italian get home, take a big bite, Loaded with those hot peppers that start w/ a J but sounds like H? That was the first and I hope last time one of those have been in my mouth. Even after picking them off I needed milk and my eyes may of been watering. I bought the little pizzas @Cynthia12 was talking about hope the sauce wasn't spicy. No worries there because the crust was so hard I couldn't bite it. Dogs enjoyed the sandwich and pizza anyway... Signed,,, Not my day. #going to bed early#Starving in In...
Oh man! Sounds awful! Jalapeños.
"Hal-a-PAIN-yos." My son just calls them PAIN, lol. They are considered fairly low on the Scofield scale for hotness, but I can't tolerate them either. Sorry you couldn't eat anything.

I cheated with the beef barley soup this time. I browned some cubed beef in the pressure cooker, dumped in a can of progressive beef barley soup and some water. Cooked it soft while I cooked some rice in a separate pot. Then mixed it all together. The extra beef broth makes it really good, and the rice tastes just like the barley. But I have to cook the barley softer for DH
I didn't know you can brown stuff in a pressure cooker. Why do you add rice if it tastes like the barley?

Because one can doesn't have enough barley for two servings but I don't want to cook more barley. There's enough broth for two servings.

We did our grocery shopping today and I got Bigelow's ginger peach turmeric tea. Delicious and invigorating! If we get the cold they are asking for, some hot drinks will be in the menu.
On the menu tonight is beef barley& rice soup. I love barley soup!
I made 5 can soup for lunch. 1 can of corn, 1 can of peas, 1 can of green beans, 1 can of carrots, 1 can of tomatoes. I drain all the cans except the tomatoes, put it all in a pot with some left over meat (chicken today) salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder to taste, simmer for 30 minutes and eat it with saltine crackers. Some times I add chopped onion instead of the onion powder. It was good and there is enough left for tomorrow.

That sounds good. What brand corn do you use? A lot of corn has tough skin, hard to digest
