Granny's gone and done it again

I grew my own Jalapenos once and decided to make my own salsa. First time newbie. Didn't know to wear gloves while stripping out the seeds.

First and last time I made that mistake or made salsa for that matter.

I love spicy foods but can't eat them any longer.

Granny, with the pizzas try cooking them less so the crust doesn't get too crispy.

That sounds good. What brand corn do you use? A lot of corn has tough skin, hard to digest
All the canned veges were Delmonte brand. Publix (our favorite grocery store in the south) had them on sale buy 1 get 1 free. I usually have home grown canned corn, but last year our crop did not do well.

Barley takes a lot of cooking and I was short in time
You can buy a quick-cook version in a box, they're par-cooked. I've used those when I couldn't find the pearl barley. Look by the oatmeal in the cereal section, I think.

Jenny brought in an egg tonight! As DH was unlocking the back door, he said she laid it, unbroken, at his feet. I would not have believed she would touch an egg after the lesson I gave them all earlier this year. At least she did not break it and roll in it, good girl! :clap

Home grown veggies are always best because they can be harvested young so they don't have tough skin
