Granny's gone and done it again

Howdys all, couldn't sleep last night so I finally got from 7am to 10:30am Robert woke me up. I drank coffee and took my PP. Made my phone calls. Talked to Nancy who said sorry because we didn't get snow and I told her she made a good call. I was getting alerts on the phone about being in a yellow alert, Freeways closed because of wrecks.I got my dish lowered by $35. but a 2 year contract. 2 months free showtime where there's still nothing on. Not happy but I took it.
Then Robert and I made biscuits and gravy. And here I am.
Duck, thank you for asking about me.

Wow, Granny, that is some update! Glad you didn't try to get out today. Are your roads icy?

I'm just now coming on myself, had no energy today. Finally got up and put a chicken in the crockpot for tomorrow's dinner. Guess it will be soup. I cleaned the hen house a little bit ago IN MY T-SHIRT, no jacket, it is almost 60° out!!! Beautiful muddy day, the hens are drinking out of mud puddles from melting snow, silly girls.

But now I have to say goodbye, sunset approaches and I have things to do. :frow

You were on at 9:40 am?? Dinner sounds good. Is it one of yours? Guess I will TTYT.

I think the freezing may be caused when your drain pipe gets plugged or frozen. Just needs to be cleaned out.
Umm.. Where would that be located?
What do you mean, "down"? She may be a bit sore but IME they recover quickly. May need the collar to keep from licking and pulling stitches unless the stitches are internal.
Wont she go thru hormonal changes too?

I had a fun time out in the coop this afternoon. Little brat rooster took advantage of the netting being down for the winter over the runs and staged an escape. I spent over an hour chasing the little twerp around that coop and run. Man are they fast. I even put birds away and opened gates thinking he would run back into one of the runs. Nope, just around and around and around we went. Tried to get him to follow me, nope. Tried bribing him. Nope. Finally got a section of deer netting out and strung it up on a corner so he couldn't see it. Enough wind that all I had to do was weight it down about 10 feet away from the run and then chase the little brat into it. Bingo! One trapped and corralled bantam rooster. Me? I was tired before. Didn't sleep well last night.Back hurt, arm hurt, hand kept going to sleep, hip hurt. Think I got about 5 hours sleep total piecing together all the sleep times from the awake times.

Guess I'll sleep good tonight.

And when the doctor asks me if I have been getting enough exercise I can honestly say, yes, I chase down puppies and chickens.

Ours was located outside the kitchen, idk where yours would be. Probably plants would grow well there.

Good evening Granny Landers! I've been busy all day, haven't had a chance to even sit down until now. It was such a pretty day I worked outside most of the afternoon getting a flower bed ready to plant. Now I have to decide what I want to plant. It's partial shade so I need to do some research on plants that will do well there.
MC I had a similar experience with 3 bantam roosters we have. They are very randy and think they should mount every hen on the property whether the hen cooperates or not. It's funny to watch them try to subdue a hen three time bigger than they are.
