Granny's gone and done it again

The callers I get say (in a heavy foreign accent) that they are calling from AT&T and I yell at them, NO YOU'RE NOT! I'M ON A DO NOT CALL LIST, STOP CALLING ME! Then I hang up. They keep calling (I think they have to, poor things) but now they are afraid of me. I say Hello? once or twice, there is no response, so I say, Goodbye! and hang up. I rather enjoy messing with them.

It does no good to block the number. They are not calling from the number that shows up. They have software that hides the number they are actually calling from. If you were to call that number back that shows up, you would get some confused housewife in Podunk Illinois or a retired fisherman in Whozit Maryland that would swear they never called you, because they didn't. They hide behind other people's phone numbers, and they'll never use that number again. I think it's called phishing.

I've answered in the past. I say,
Hello, this is the IRS, how may I direct your call? ~~ CLICK.

Or, and more often than not, they pass your number along to another scammer if they're not getting any luck with yours.
Bronwyn has a pretty neat thing on her phone. If its an unrecognized number, like any on your list, it will go straight to voicemail. I told her I would worry about a Dr's number I dont have on my list. She says, it goes to voice mail..they would probably leave a message.

Morning all, I finally had a good sleep. Til 8:30.
I filed for the elderly tax credit Tom and I used to get every year and I posted his DOD and I THINK I included a copy of his death cert. not 100% sure but I did fill out the section for his passing. Every year I tell them because of my age it should be $100. and every year they argue that its $140. No different this year with the same letter its $140. Ok, Im not gonna worry about it. However, What I am gonna worry about is it came in both our names. I normally sign both our names (always have) but I very well cant do that this year. So $140. just sitting here.

Oh, BTW My knee feels a little better today and I started a med. called imdur. Its slowed release nitro. I have tried this before and couldn't take it but cant remember why. I guess Im about to find out.
