Although I maybe coulda kept mine if they'd just cleaned the sludge out of my common bile duct and put in a stent. Not sure. Had stones too. Had to have the cleanout and stent done a couple years after the gallbladder was removed too, so who knows.

Well here is my update. Sleeping on and off two or three hours at a time. When the pain meds wear off I Know it.

Friend from church brought good but I wasn’t up for a visit. Her DH came and they talked for over an hour , I stayed in the bedroom. Very nice to bring food but I am not up for a visit. Neck is very swollen and bruised. They say the third day is the worse.

Sorry to hear about everyone’s medical problems. They were really pushing the flu shot at the hospital. I think the worst time to get a vaccine is when you are already sick. But I guess people don’t come back for it when they are well.

That is all I can think of. Rest well everyone.

Rest, is best right now. I know you know.
And, I know how good folks are to bring by meals if needed.

My gallbladder does pretty well if I eat "right" by eating low fat and not a lot of processed foods.

IDK, I haven't heard that from them. The only say I don't have any in my arms so they have to go in my hands.

Does Robert like to cook? Maybe you could have him help out and do it with you?

I think he is like me. He likes to eat. I think he just started acting out w/ me so he didn't have to help. He did get everything out and opened.

Ouch! Sorry you are feeling rough Julie I don't like people around me when I don't feel good either! It makes me so uncomfortable and nervous. My hubby and oldest daughter is about it. And sometimes only Hubby can be around me if I'm having a severe gallbladder attack or really really sick.

Sounds like it needs to come out anyway

I guess its there for a reason but mine came out.

Sorry I dropped off without a trace. The kids had gone to see that new mivie, Iron Lung, and when they came in Melissa sat down and wanted to tell me all about it. Shd says it will give her nightmares, it had a disturbing ending. But really she loves that kind of thing, so ...

Good to hear from you, Julie. Sorry you are having to go through this. No matter how you look at it, it's a bummer as we used to say back in the day.

Yep, 3rd day is always your worst day. More pain and discomfort, more likely to feel bad and maybe run a low grade fever, all the fun stuff.

And I agree. You don't want 'strangers' around after you have been sick or had surgery. My first cognizant thought after I came to in my room after having my gall bladder out and seeing my mother, minister, uncle and aunt standing at the foot of my bed staring at me was 'oh God, this is what it feels like to lay in a coffin'. I just wanted everyone but my mother to go away.

But I imagine you are very sore, that eating isn't pleasant and you just want to sleep and rest right now and concentrate on healing. Take care.
