Hope those that celebrated had a great Valentines day.
As usual we did not. If hubby had remembered for the 1st time in 50yrs the shock might have killed me.

If this is to personal you can tell me to shut up it's ok! Does he show his love all the other days of the year? Does he do sweet/kind things for you, and shows he cares?

DH and I met 10 days before Christmas 2005. My mother had passed in 99 and dad's dementia had worsened to the point that I couldn't take care of him at home any longer and work so he had gone to the nursing home that previous January. His condition had deteriorated to the point that he didn't know me most of the time so it was destined to be my first Christmas alone and I was so very lonely. No one will ever make me believe that meeting my future husband that close to Christmas wasn't a gift from God because it was. We married 16 months later. I tell him to this day that he was the best Christmas gift I had ever received.

@microchick I learned something new from the ER colorectal surgeon on call today. I called to see if DH should be seen on emergency for his swollen stoma. He said put table sugar on it for 20 minutes. It draws out the water for edema. He said they do that for prolapsed stomas in the ER

It can also debride dead tissue from a wound and is sometimes used to clear out dead or damaged tissue from a bed sore before treatment is applied.

Don't laugh but I bet it works the same way Preparation H works for bags under your eyes.

We splurged and bought ribeyes for the grill.
I have learned to never go out on V day. To busy and crowded.

I think we got very lucky today getting a table by getting there early.

same thing for chicken prolapse.

I love my hubby so much he is my best flesh friend and my other half!! Even though we don't celebrate I do know how much he loves me and I him! If it wasn't for LORD JESUS our marriage wouldn't be! 7 months almost until our anniversary

Great day today but it almost wasn't. I don't think Ive ever gone out on V day. They asked me if I had reservations. I said I didn't know y'all did that. We got there early and that was Nancys doing. Anyway we got seated and I was busy on my food to be looking around. When we were getting ready to leave I did. There was around 30 people waiting to get a table and I heard a worker saying they had 66 reservations on the way in. It was wall to wall people there.Anyway left there after eating half my food and bringing half home and went to a fish store where Tom bought me 3 baby silver dollar fish. Let me explain. Tom had $50. in his wallet when he passed so I put it in mine away from my money hoping to find something special to do w/ it and I did.
These 3 fish are so tiny compared to my old ones! They seem to be getting along ok.

Yes this is her first. I will have to learn how to share photos on here. That is something I have never learned to do.
We are having BBQ smoked pork, fresh corn and black-eyed peas for supper. I made a spice cake yesterday so that will be desert. I baked 6 dozen sugar cookies today, most will go in the freezer.
