30 mins. on hold THIS TIME w/IRS. they finally pick up, ask how they can help me then hang up on me!! The other # they gave me to call and was on hold with for a long time told me they had nothing to do with any of my issues.
IRS? WHY are you dealing with them?

@lovesfarms, congratulations on DH's bell ringing ceremony. Let's pray for a very very long remission that leads to a 'cured' status!

Kinda plodding around here today. Didn't sleep well again last night. Think I have some inflammation in my repaired biceps that doesn't let me rest at night. Feels like I have a real tight band around my upper arm that is squeezing and then burning deep. Up at 1AM for more pain meds and finally got to sleep about 20 minutes later.

Nothing blooming here or even breaking the ground yet. I planted some more tulips last fall but usually the first flower we see here is a little wild flower called spring beauty and then there are Dutchman's breeches which are the first spring flowers that we see poking out of the leaf cover in the woods. Usually tulips and daffodils follow along with wild blue bells. I am SOOOOO ready for spring. We have 4 days of cold weather then warm weather is supposed to be back. It's about time!

Thank you microchick! It may be a little early for celebrating, but it is a milestone reached. The oncologist said to think positive. My cousin was in remission and her cancer came back. It almost makes you feel guilty to feel good

My mama put her notice in for her last job today! She has worked my whole life, and most of my childhood she worked two jobs. I hope she adjusts well to being retired, and doesn't go back to working.
We love retirement....it's the money that's a bummer. Is what my husband always says. Make sure she has LOT'S of hobbies and or interests. That is the secret to a successful retirement.

Have faith and wait. And yes, a positive attitude does make a difference.

I had a high school friend who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when we were in our mid 20s. It was so metastasized that her doctors told her to get her affairs in order because she wasn't going to survive and she told them, they were wrong. She and God had different plans. Sure enough, she beat it. When she was in her 50s she developed some sort of bone marrow dysfunction. Not cancer but from all the chemo and radiation therapy she went through 30 years earlier. It had damaged her bone marrow and it stopped producing red blood cells for her. That is what killed her. But her faith in God cured her of ovarian cancer. She taught me how strong faith is when dealing with cancer.
