I made Beef Stew today, I love to eat it and have been wanting some. Hubby made brownies 2 days ago, and our neighbor brought over some muffins !

Turkey tail isn't edible?. Chicken of the woods is edible, from what I read. Looks similar.

Oh it's edible in the sence it isn't poisonous... but it's like chewing bark flavored leather lol.

My favorite is to grill it in a thin layer of oil and smoked salt. Tastes somewhat like chicken grilled in bacon grease
The neighbors batter and deep fry it like fried chicken. I dont really deep fry (with the exception of okra and jalapeños) so I havnt tried that one.

You need at least 2 goats, they get lonely alone. The most recent goats i had were Nigerian Dwarf goats.

I was wondering about that. I know someone with just one, but she always seems lonely. Dwarf goats might be an idea.
The struggle is we don't have a fenced yard. I was wondering if they would do OK with a goat house and one of those leads that you can string up between trees and have a long cord on a wheel, so they could reach most of the yard.

It's about 4" snow here. A lot melted. The parking lot is sloppy wet but not covered in snow. We usually get more snow at home then they do here.

I wouldn't use that with a goat. They are much stronger then a dog, and I have seen medium size dogs break them easily!

Oh really even the coated metal braided cord kind?? We had a large dog that liked to chase chickens when I was young, so we used that and he never broke it, but maybe he didn't try very hard.

Yes! And it tangles terrible! I would have some bolt cutters so you can cut them when they do get tangled, because they will go wild probably.

It is! We rent so don't even have the option of fencing, which is why I was trying to find a different way. They tangled it worse than a dog? Wow. OK, maybe that plan won't work, which means a simple coated metal cord to a pole won't work either I guess.
Yep I'm out of ideas!
