Granny's gone and done it again

I think its terrible how schools make kids get up before the sun and stand in the cold dark waiting. One time Robert was heading up and I caught him just in time. A mountain lion at the top of the drive. Someone shot it about a week later and posted pictures at the general store

My GS leaves about 5:30 and he's not quiet. So I'm awake but my eyeballs don't wake up that early so I usually don't come howdy at BYC. DH is up at 6:30 and leaves about 7:30 so I often go back to sleep for an hour or so, maybe later. Probably why I never feel fully awake till about noon.

I'm allergic to early mornings.:rant
Hubby gets up early and I try not to wake - sometimes I succeed - sometimes I just have to go back to sleep - and sometimes I surrender to wakefulness. :barnie
First thing Robert did when he finished school was to toss that alarm clock as far as he could.
My daughter graduated high school the same year Robert started . That was a lot of lunches and alarms.

When my kids were in elementary the bus stop was half a mile away so I drove them up and they waited for it in the nice warm car. I read them stories and we'd have prayer. Picked them up after mostly, too. No way would I let them walk in the dark. We have hunters but we also have poachers. And coyotes.

In Ky. I had to walk the train tracks. IDK how far maybe a couple miles then catch the bus where we took over an hour to get there and they had to drive the only road to town that we called suicide Hill. It was terrifying. Then most days I walked in the front door and right out the back
