Granny's gone and done it again

The news just makes me sad most of the time. It is usually bloodshed, and so on. I don't watch movies anymore, but sometimes documentaries. I don't like the death and gory like history ones.

I try to think on good things like the Bible says Philippians 4:8-9

• Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
• Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

A lot of stress and anxiety comes when I don't do that!
I just have been busy busy with school, and life stuff in general this week! My mama did it guys she retired!! I'm so happy for her! It does make it seem more real that she is getting older, but I am so happy she isn't working.

Morning all, I was up at 5 then crashed in my chair til 10-ish. My shot is late. I've asked Robert twice.
We had a power outage yesterday. I didn't even know it happened. I was here alone. Roberts TV was on and now it isn't. He said he doesn't have a surge protector on it. Whatever that is. His friend said he has an extra (no remote) he will give him. In the meantime I do not have control of the remote and he cant sleep. Tinnitus is a real sometimes very painful problem for him.

A surge protector keep the extra electricity wave that happens when there is an outage or surge from destroying the complex electronics in things like tvs.

yes. I don't watch the news either. For some reason I feel guilty over that. I haven't figured that one out.

Maybe you feel like you are a bad citizen for not "caring"? That's why I feel guilty about it, but i know its silly. Its not that I don't care, its that I know 80% of it is nonsense, not matter what channel you watch, the weather is more likely to be accurate!
Plus most of the stuff that is left doesnt actually affect me nor be affected by me in anyway, and is just depressing.

Thank you and I also wanted to say I got my shot today. Hopefully it will give me some energy. Ill take what I can get! Robert has a gentle touch for those things.

Just to show I'm not totally helpless ... Melissa had to help me a bit (she brought the Instant Pot in from the back porch where it lives and I can't get to), but right now I am babysitting a batch of potatoes and carrots cooking. I scrubbed the potatoes, peeled the carrots, and cut them all up. I'll also be making a dozen hard-cooked eggs for DH's breakfasts.
