I used to hatch a lot. I never figured why folks say it's not good to open the bator to get chick's out as they hatch. I always did. Wild birds start going out to get food for those that have hatched. Then get back on the unhatched eggs. I watched something posted here years ago of a classroom hatching eggs. They opened it also to get hatched babies. Plus, they left the top off and watched as others hatched. Now I will say, I'm quick to get my hatched ones out, then the lid back on.My incubator doesnt have a windowis it ok to open or take them out in lockdown??? They were all live and wiggly when I candled at lockdown!

Isn't it a hoot! I think incubating and hatching is my favorite part of chicken raising. Just so much fun.I have 8 hatched and another 8 pipped! Day 21 only started at noon!
Better do the lawyer first! The best part of this day, I had another one of those pain things on the way home. chest thru to the back and jaw pain. This one lasted most of the way home. She gave me an baby aspirin and offered a nitro pill.

Hopefully they will get you in faster than 'a couple of weeks'. That is just mind blowing especially when you are having symptoms like the ones you are having.
