Granny's gone and done it again

I'm only 5'2" but next to 5' I feel like a giant. DH calls me his 'dwarf wife' I just say I'm height challenged.

If you consider the number of vaccines kids and young people get from birth to young adulthood compared with what us oldsters used to get you can't help but wonder if that is where all the autism is coming from. We got by pretty good with polio, mumps, rubella, whooping cough and chicken pox. Knew nobody with autism. Had one student with delayed educational development/handicap but that was it. I wouldn't be surprised if diet doesn't play a big roll also. They want longer shelf life? No problem, add more chemicals. There has to be a light bulb somewhere that can come on over somebody's head.

I watched this older woman's video on youtube about chemicals we encounter in every day life. She said "I'm going to put a packet into this jar (it was a big one) for every chemical I use on a normal day." The thing was overflowing by the end! We just don't think about it and have learned to not care. I don't stress over food that God has given us, but yeah we reap for so many unnatural things that we eat and put into our bodies. Some we can't control, but quite a bit we do!

I had measles (both kinds), mumps and chicken pox between age 5 and 10 and have the scars to prove it. We all got the smallpox vaccine before 1st grade. I can remember having a plastic dome cover over the site to keep me from scratching it. The first year I worked in the pediatric office I was sick all the time! I caught RSV, Rotovirus (a nasty stomach virus that really stinks) and every virus the kids brought in. Since then I have been rarely sick.

That is one of the many reasons I try to grow as much of the food we eat as I can. I preserve it in the freezer, by canning or dehydrating. I cook most meals from scratch not from a box. I buy vegetables from the farmers market when it's open or by fresh frozen vegetables that I don't grow. We may not have much money, but we eat good!

my procedure is set for April 6th. They want me there by 7am doing it at 9 and will need to leave here by 5am at the latest.
What "procedure" are you having, Granny? Did you already tell us and I missed it?
