Granny's gone and done it again

I recommend getting/having a separate tub for the feet and marking it some how. Not sure if athletes tongue is a thing or not.
A foot soak on warm water with epsom salts can only help. If you have access you might try tea tree oil or rosemary as well, they kill alot of those skin infections.

Ashton is sick again. I know why.
My daughter Melody was at church on Sunday. Always good to see her, she's one of our nurses. I said, hi cutie, give me a hug. She says with her "stop" hand out, no, you dont want a hug, i have a cold. So, no hug.
Ashton was asked to say the opening prayer in Primary. I said, I'll go sit and watch. He says, I don't need help. I told him, I know. Melody is subbing for a teacher in there. ~~ See where this is going? I'm sitting at the back of the room when he starts his prayer. Gets the first sentence out nicely. Then says, umm, I need help. Melody, being the sweet helpful spirit I know, jumps up before I could even get my bottom off the chair. She leans in by his ear and helps. Yep. With Ashton that's all it took. Hopefully he doesn't get that bad this time. Last time wasn't too bad.
I'm sorry he is sick again. If she knew she had a cold why was she not wearing a mask? If she was sick why did she not stay home? Just wondering.

I just realized how many very opinionated long rambles I have put out recently, well sorry. Further evidence of my social awkwardness I suppose 😅
I appreciate your honest posts. You speak with the voice of experience and tell the truth. I was fortunate that my children were "normal". I have a grandson and great grand daughter on the spectrum and know the challenges they and their parents have.

how often does he shower or wash his feet ?? that could be part of the problem combined with the diabetes. Robert lost 1/2 his foot from not washing "properly" and NOT controlling his blood sugar levels.
That's what I was thinking also. Feet are the weak spot on diabetics-prone to infections and ulcerations every blister has to be taken seriously. He really needs to be seen, @Granny Hatchet. Until he does can you get him to soak it in some warm Epsom salt water? Not hot! Just nice and warm for 15 minutes? 2 or 3 times a day. It should help make it feel better especially if he has an ingrown toenail.

I'm immune to smallpox. They have tried at least 5 times to vaccinate me and it never takes. My last doctor told me that wasn't possible and insisted on vaccinating me again. Once again, time number 5 and no reaction. He checked both my arms and said yeah, you're right, you are immune. He said I must been exposed to it in mild form at some time of my life. All I know is that I had the German I think they used to call it 'hard' measles when I was like 7 and was sicker than a dog for about 2 weeks with them. Persistent fever for over a week till I broke out in the rash. I think I also had mild chicken pox because I've had shingles but have no memory of having chicken pox.

Not to him, but the big kids know. I should tell him, maybe that would be "different" enough for him!
Has he seen the rooster mount the hen? My GD thought the roo was trying to kill the hen. Actually it did look like that.
