We both need a hotel room close by.

Granny, We have a reservation at a hotel near the hospital for Sunday and Monday night. Pa will stay overnight in the hospital before discharge. It takes 2 hours to get to the hospital from home. We are blessed with 4 wonderful children and 8 grand children. Some of them live close enough to come help frequently.
BBH, my mother in law thought all babies were ugly until they were old enough to walk and talk. She was not a person who liked to cuddle or hold a baby. She wanted them to be able to interact with her in a purposeful way.

Farms, How are you and yours doing?

We've been doing well besides lots of Drs appointments- one appointment keeps leading to 2 more it seems. I guess it goes with she. He does have an upcoming appointment with a neurologist but they are backed up till July. It should help us understand the memory loss. He's supposed to get dental cleaning every 3 months now. They are doing therapy, pain management and shots for his knee since he can't get a replacement. All the appointments aren't serious but it gets so overwhelming, especially because he can't remember them himself and gets lost.

He doesn't like it when I take the dog's on walks and such things....I call it paranoia and is part of the forgetfulness. I just have to be careful not to let myself get frustrated and snap at him cause I know he can't help it

Your doing it the smart way. I mentioned a room to Nancy but she didn't say anything. I cant really afford it anyway. She gonna be wore out though.

There are some hotels that aren't quite as expensive like motel 6. Weekends are more expensive. Midweek is usually cheaper

I'm kinda the opposite. I think they're pretty adorable until they get bigger and can run off and ignore you, lol.

Chemo itself can cause memory loss I think.
Your on the right track as far as getting some exercise and a little while to yourself. I caught myself getting frustrated w/ Tom a couple times. I think its only normal.

Maybe he feels insecure if he can't see you ..?
