Are your potatoes still hanging around? Don't know that the er nitwits told you, be generally after severe bowel disruption, you should stick with broth for another day and work gradually toward solid food. Like those nice mushy noodles in the soup.
Yeah, your guts have been beat up good and need some recovery time. Your bowels have been traumatized for more than a week. If the immodium is helping, that's good, but whatever has caused the problem may still be there. I'd stick to broth and clear liquids. Tea with sugar or honey is nice. Give it at least another 24 hours before you try solids. And then is should be something very easy to digest and not very much. Maybe wait until Monday morning if you can.
They made no effort to figure out the cause?? Just throw something at the symptoms and send you home.Are you supposed to follow up with your doctor? that you can't get an appointment to see? and have t drive an hour? At least you got something for the pain. Maybe you will sleep better tonight.![]()
