145 days is average, but can go 140 days or as long as 155 days. Generally you see single kid going long and triplets, quads and larger litter kidding early. Also can vary by. breed. The tail head gets sunk in on either side of tail. There is a ligament that runs down either side tail and when it disapears does will deliver within 24 hours. If you Google there are good diagrams about how to check doe's ligaments.
I have raised Nubian dairy goats for 30 years and kidded out 30 or more does a year..
Could have been worse. A good reminder to water and feed the animals. Glad he's okay
Feel that ligament!! Lol
It looks pretty painful to me. Diabetics take forever to heal and get infected easy. hope he is using antibiotic on it. I know what you mean about the thinners. Tom can just barely bump himself and it rips the skin and gets a bad bruise.
This is a picture out my front door last Christmas morning.
This is where we had heavy snow, for us,. I had a drs appt in St. George it was lightly snowing, two hours later when i returned snow was bumper high, did fine until i had to slow down to turn onto my street and got stuck. The next pict. Shows where someone towed me to front of my yard. No way would i have made it up my driveway to house. Snow was knee high onme, which was above my boots.
To the right of truck you can see pine tree branches weighed down by snow. Normally you can park the truck under those branches.
