Wishing, I realize not all blues - greens are created equal, and all colors are in the eye of the beholder....... But, my hens laid green eggs, I even compared them to a chart a Cream Legbar Club Member sent me. The chart had all of the colors on seperate pages. The eggs my CL hens laid were on the green page. My Araucana hens eggs were on the blue page, as were my trashy EE hens eggs.

I never said they had brown genes in their back ground any where. But, I do know that if I had paid $150 each for them I would have been thoroughly p i s s e d at the egg color.

It's all good... The closer we get to Idaho the more true seasons we get... We are blocked by the mountains and we usually get rain...

I believe they are advertised as good layers of white eggs.

Edit - Granny, I just googled them. Murray McMurray claims they lay 150 eggs per year, colored white or cream.

I love snow....... as long as it isn't on the roads and I don't have to walk in it, clean it off my car or shovel it...... Yep, I like snow..... Ha! Ha! Ha!

HAY! Looks like we're gonna get a frog drowner for 4 days straight! Biggest rain storm in years.

It could get ugly with mudslides but not near me. Hope Wishing drops by, curious what her forcast is.

Hi Mutt! Still 30 pages back.

Same forecast here. Started raining this morning so I was running around in my jammies and boots feeding and check on the coops. Wanted to get it done before it started pouring. Guess what. Soon as I got back inside, rain quit! 3pm here and other than a few drips every once in awhile, nada. Chickens are enjoying a day out eating down the green grass. Big hopes for Monday. Pretty strong feeling it will POUR on Monday. School starts back up!

150 aint all that for eggs . He is pretty but white eggs dont thrill me either. If they are not an expensive rooster then I think I will cut him loose. Thanks for the info.

I am home again. She was out of BOs. I got a blue ameraucana. They are the same size and will keep each other happy. I hope.
