Hi all :frow Hope everyone's doing well today. I have a question. I heard I can use eggshells for calcium in my girls food. I read several articles and they all have differing opinions. 1. was to bake the shells first in the oven then crush 2. was to just crush them enough they could eat them no baking and 3. was to food process them into a fine powder and then add to their food. Is any of these ways better than the other??

Boil them down good, then crush

glad you brought this up. I just wash them good with just water, crush them up and through a handful to them . Is that ok y'all? Or should I boil them?

Y'all are making me feel like such a horrible chicken mama. They'll get shells from hubseses boiled eggs...but if I'm cooking and crack open an egg or making scrambled eggs...or what have you...heck I crunch those up and throw them in my empty garden bed. (Which the girls see me heading that way and they come a running!)

I'm such a slacker. Sigh.

Okay back to work for me. See y'all much much later again.
