I just candled my 4 under one of the broody hens. They are a fertility hatch for my Icelandic. He & the 2 hens are getting it done, all 4 are fertile ~ Yay

I have 3 more under another hen & I am collecting to sell hatching eggs. If they don't sell, I will set them under my Mottled Bantam Cochin who is broody as well. Dang birds, 4 broodies & it 15° out, single digits at night.

I sleep, just briefly. Ive been pretty fond of the early am recently. Either wake up before my little girl or with her. Today was extra special obviously.
Brunch was intense, close to breaking our record. Here was the hit special.
