I let the guineas out. If they keep causing problems, then I'll sell them and start over.

And I mixed all three brooders of babies into the big run. They seem to be doing ok! Also took individual pics of each EE baby.

Oldest honas: 4 cockerels, 2 pullets
Middle honas: 3 cockerels, 4 pullets
Smallest honas: 2 cockerels, 2 pullets

EE 2:

They're all looking good!

Here's my opinions (guesses!) on the EEs --- How old are they? 6-7 weeks?
1. pullet so far
2. cockerel
3. cockerel
4. cockerel- never seen such pretty coloring! black chest=male, dark red coming in on wings=male, pretty small comb so he must low on the totem pole
5. pullet
6. pullet
7. cockerel- by color pattern. Not a pea comb, right? So kind of depends on age, but big white patches on the wings is usually boy.

I have to admit I have never had not seen a pig cooked like that and everyone that seen it has said yum but I just dont think I could it that with the head and feet still attached. LOL   It just dont look like bacon or pork chops.   Is the brain and stuff still in there ? ears and tail still on.

they do a chop before it is served so you dont see everything else. I know it can be hard to see the whole thing before you eat it.

why do they cook it with that on ? Dont it just take longer ?   do they eat that stuff ?

We cook the pig with head and tail intact ,once cooked its traditional to lay it flat belly side down with the head still attached, however we skin the pig after cooking and chop and separate meat from as much fat as possible by hand very laborious , for the most part the meat is falling off the bone we use a low slow fire, of soaked wild cherry wood some use hickory or oak we use oak to fire and wild cherry to smoke we cooked and chopped til 11pm last night served it for lunch at church today everyone brought a covered dish me and Matt supplied the meat the brains can be consumed but no one did we chucked the the carcass in my with my chickens bones are almost picked clean today

Wishing, I'm with you on the guesses. That calico one is granny's roo. If I can't get him to her, then I'll probably get rid of my big EE roo and keep the baby. The two big roos are treading heavy on the EE hens, so getting rid of the EE would give me pure RIR eggs. Plus the RIR roo is friendlier.

Here's the comb on chick 7. Pea comb right?
