I opened the divider between the coop and run to let Ragnar, Lagertha, and their clutch join all the brooder babies. Lagertha is setting EVERYONE straight! I thought Ragnar would whip the young roos, but Lagertha beat him to the punches. Poor thing looks so confused! He finally went to a feeder and started clucking for the babies while Lagertha went around flapping and pecking.

They'll settle down I'm sure. This is the best thing for all those juvies I think, having a mama teaching them manners. Last night they all slept in two piles: big honas slept over little honas, and EEs all slept together. The honas had never met each other before Sunday. How do they do that??

Sounds like you got a good mama hen. The honas just took to each other that quick? That's great.

Yeah! But even the honas that hatched with the EEs are in the hona pile. It's crazy! And it's not color, because the black EEs were with the EEs. Maybe they're hanging out because of their legbands.

I stopped for corn , thats it just corn. Tom had to wait in the car of course. LOL Think you can remind me to call TSC tomorrow to ask about a swap ? Lady wasnt there today. said 11 to close tomorrow. I will organize one myself .

how much protein does it have ? the bag I just bought was 12/13. not remembering and thats the cheapest I have seen it.
