Hi York! I don't wash eggs unless they are dirty. And then I just run them under some water and pat dry, then straight into the fridge. Of course, I only get about 4-5 eggs a day. There has been a jay or something getting into the coop and pecking a hole in one egg, but not eating it all.

Very frustrating. It's happened before. Those jays are just too smart!

I hope that every one here is chanting heifer for the next 3 calves.

Granny twins would be great but one of each is bad, called a free martin and the heifer is then doomed for slaughter. Too much boy stuff going back and forth in the womb. And the female doesn't fully develop in to a "breed-able cow" ends up more like a casterated bull.

Clostridium diffcil is problem of the large intestine, not the stomach!
HP is a bacteria that triger stomach ulcus.

Other half climbed the tree. Did not look too much to cut back untill it's all sat on my lawn!!

Pesky jays!! Always make me think of Sheldon and Big Bang theory!! We have magpies here that steal them if I leave them out in the garden. Set a trap with eggs in and ve not caught one!!
